Description
The GARC Education Platform offers several certified courses in bite prevention, rabies prevention and treatment, responsible dog ownership, dog handling and humane dog population management.
The courses are free, self-paced and globally applicable.
No previous knowledge of rabies is necessary.
Courses currently available are: i) Rabies Educator Certificate, REC; ii) Animal Handling and Vaccination Certificate, AVC; iii) Community Coordinator for Rabies Certificate, CCC and; iv) Rabies Healthcare Certificate, RHC).
UAR Evaluation Matrix
Evaluations are performed using the ‘UAR Evaluation Matrix’, a rabies-specific tool evaluation instrument adapted from the FAO-OIE-WHO Tripartite Surveillance and Information Sharing Operational Tool evaluation process and instrument.
Accessibility 10
Focuses on i) logistics for accessing and using the tool, ii) the platforms on which the tool runs (if applicable), iii) relevant costs, and iv) the level of user support that is provided by the developer/manufacturer.

Focuses on the type of data that is captured by the tool.
